Building the Power

Spirit works best through simplicity

Spiritual development nowadays can feel overly complicated. In essence spirit has always been apart of us. It is the conditioning in society that has brought us away from this. Development comes from practice and stepping outside of ourselves.

The most effective tool we have is through visualization. Leaning to see the light within your energy field and to expand it can help you in many ways on your spiritual journey. It helps with protection, integration, and connection.

All it requires is your intention, a little patience, and a willingness to become still.

Understanding Your Spiritual Power

We all carry an energetic presence that extends beyond our physical bodies. This has different names but it expands beyond our physical body.

As we move through everyday life, we encounter waves of emotions, environments, and experiences that can influence how we feel energetically. Sometimes we feel light, peaceful, and connected. Other times, we may feel heavy, distracted, or disconnected, Overtime this can weigh on us and cause us to lose sight of this presence.

This is where this practice comes into play.

Once you start to strengthen your awareness of the light within you and you allow that energy to expand you start to react differently to the world. It becomes a little easier to understand.

The more you work with this practice, the more familiar you may become with the subtle sensations and impressions that arise during meditation.

The goal isn't to force a spiritual experience. It's to create an inner environment where your connection with Spirit can unfold naturally.

Different spiritual traditions have incorporated some form of this practice

  • Mediumship and raising your vibration: In traditional Spiritualist teachings, mediums often describe developing their sensitivity to spirit communication through meditation, deep trances, and sitting in groups.

  • The light within: Christian mystical traditions also speak about divine light, inner stillness, and becoming receptive to God's presence.

  • Growth comes from Surrender: Visualization can serve as a focal point for meditation, helping practitioners cultivate awareness rather than trying to force an experience.

Connecting with the light

Find a time of the day when you can sit quietly without being disturbed

Close your eyes, relax your body, and begin taking a few gentle breaths.

Your not trying to force anything you are just preparing to connect with your light which is always present

Step 1: Connect With Your Inner Light

Bring your awareness to the center of your heart or to a point just above the crown of your head.

Imagine a beautiful white light beginning to form in this space.

You may see a light, you may sense a warmth or you may begin to soften. (These senstations will build the more you do this meditation)

Allow this light to represent your connection with the divine presence of Spirit.

Step 2: Begin Expanding the Light

As you continue breathing naturally let the light grow. No forcing just allowing it to expand and grow.

See or sense it moving through your body, surrounding you with a beautiful field of white light.

Continue expanding this light until it reaches beyond your physical body and fills the space around you.

Imagine your entire aura becoming illuminated.

Don't worry about making anything happen. Simply allow the visualization to unfold.

Step 3: Build the Power

As the light expands, place your intention on strengthening its presence.

You may begin to notice subtle sensations such as warmth, tingling, gentle vibrations, or a feeling of energy moving around you.

Some people experience a humming or buzzing sensation during meditation, while others simply feel a deep sense of peace.

These experiences vary from person to person, and physical sensations aren't necessary for the practice to be meaningful.

Continue holding your awareness within the light, allowing it to become brighter and more expansive.

You can silently affirm:

“I allow the light of Spirit to flow through me. I am open to divine love, wisdom, and spiritual connection.”

Step 4: Rest Within the Light

Once you've expanded the light around you, simply rest in that awareness.

There is nothing more you need to do.

Allow yourself to experience the stillness.

You might notice intuitive impressions, feelings, imagery, or a greater sense of connection.

Rather than analyzing everything that comes forward, simply observe.

When you're ready, gently return your awareness to your physical body, take a few breaths, and open your eyes. Make sure to ground by seeing your feet anchor into the earth. You can always breathe in fresh air to anchor in the body.

Becoming the Vessel of light

Ultimately, building your spiritual power isn't about becoming more powerful than someone else.

It's about deepening your relationship with the divine light that you were before you were born and sharing this with the world.

Through these practices this is how that part of ourselves begins to come out. As it does we heal not only ourselves but those around us because the light can shine on any darkness around.

Allowing yourself to become the light makes way for spirit to grow the light in the world
